Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus games for October 2025, and this month’s lineup is one of the most varied we’ve seen in a while. Headlining is Alan Wake II – Remedy’s critically acclaimed survival horror title from 2023. Alongside it, subscribers are also getting Goat Simulator 3 and Cocoon, two games that couldn’t be more different in tone and style. And that’s not all – PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members are in for a surprise drop. Check the full list of titles coming to PS Plus this October here. The biggest highlight this month is Alan Wake II. The story splits between FBI agent Saga Anderson, who’s investigating strange murders in Bright Falls, and Alan Wake himself, a writer trapped in the unsettling Dark Place. Switching between their perspectives, the game delivers a tense mix of psychological horror and mystery. It’s one of those titles that keeps you on edge throughout, and PS Plus subscribers are in for a treat if they haven’t played it yet. Balancing out the horror is the complete madness of Goat Simulator 3. Once again, you play as Pilgor – the goat – and create mayhem in a huge sandbox world. The fun multiplies when you invite friends, as the game supports up to four players in online co-op. Whether it’s mini-games or just random chaos, it’s a game that doesn’t take itself seriously, and that’s exactly the point. For anyone who enjoys puzzle-solving over pure chaos, Cocoon is the one to watch. Created by Jeppe Carlsen – the mind behind indie hits Limbo and Inside – the game takes players into strange, alien-like worlds filled with biomechanical devices and surreal landscapes. The core mechanic revolves around Orbs, each unlocking new abilities and layers of puzzles.
On top of the regular lineup, PS Plus Extra and Deluxe subscribers are also getting The Last of Us Part II Remastered. Set five years after the first part, it follows the journey of Joel and Ellie as they try to build a life in a survivor community before a violent turn of events changes everything. The remaster brings sharper visuals and performance for PS5, plus additional content.
With the new titles coming to PS Plus Monthly Games for October, PlayStation Plus members will have until October 7, 2025, to add Psychonauts 2, Stardew Valley, and Viewfinder to their game library.
