Among the outgoing titles, Battlefield 2042 is the most notable. The removal doesn’t come as a surprise, as older Battlefield entries have been leaving the service steadily ever since Battlefield 6 arrived. Battlefield 1 left last month and Battlefield 5 followed soon after, making 2042 the next one to exit. Grand Theft Auto III is another major title leaving the catalog. Its removal is interesting timing, as GTA V was added to PS Plus only this month. Fans who wanted to revisit the classic version of Liberty City now have limited time to do so. Forspoken and Sonic Frontiers are also on the list, both having built their own set of players who may want to finish their campaigns before they are gone. Here are all the games leaving PS Plus in December 2025:
These titles are expected to be removed around the middle of December, likely on the 17th or 18th based on past patterns. Players still have a few weeks to finish any ongoing playthroughs. Most of the titles can be completed in under 25 hours, making them manageable for anyone looking to wrap them up before removal.
On the positive side, PlayStation has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption will be added to the PS Plus Game Catalog for PS4 and PS5 next month, giving subscribers a major new title to look forward to.
