Fortnite update: Epic Games has announced Fortnite Season 4, which will arrive with v30.10 update. This new season will be available to players between June 13 and August 16, and it will begin with Fortnite Festival Season 4. The Fortnite Festival Season 4 will bring the iconic heavy metal band Metallica to the game.
“During this time, seek and destroy your opponents on the new Battle Stage, shred to your favorite Metallica tracks on the Jam Stage and Main Stage, and unlock in-game rewards by tearing your way through the Season 4 Festival Pass,” the company wrote while announcing the development.
As Fortnite Season 4 arrives in the game, here’s everything you need to know about it:
Battle Stage
— Fortnite Season 4 will begin with Fortnite Festival Battle Stage. Each public Battle Stage match will begin with up to 16 players, who will compete to get the highest score on a randomly chosen song from Festival’s featured rotation. Four lowest-scoring players will get eliminated at the end of each song until there is a single victor.
Overdrive
— At the battle stage, players can also throw other players off balance. Fortnite says that gamers can play Overdrive Phases to build Overdrive and press the Attack button to throw their rivals off course while boosting their own score. “The more Overdrive you hold, the longer your attack will be,” the company added.
Festival Pass
— Players will be able to earn more reward points by ‘rocking hard’ in the game. During the upcoming Fortnite Festival, players need to complete Festival Quests to earn Festival Points, which will help them progress in this season’s Festival Pass.
Rewards
— During Fortnite Festival Season 4, players will get access to various rewards, which includes the Slurp Blaster Guitar as the final reward.
— Additionally, gamers will be able to purchase the Premium Reward Track upgrade for 1,800 V-Bucks and unlock the Metallica memorabilia. Epic Games says that purchasing the Premium Reward Track unlocks the Lars Ulrich Outfit, while the Robert Trujillo, Kirk Hammett, and James Hetfield outfits can be unlocked by progressing through the track.
Improvements and fixes
Here are all the major improvements in the game:
— Players can now equip their owned Jam Tracks as Lobby Tracks.
— The company has also improved Fret Forgiveness by increasing the time allowed between when a player strums a note on Pro Lead/Pro Bass and when they need to press the correct fret input.
— Additionally, it has updated button bind visibility to be on by default for Pro song parts, made the Strum bind visible on the HUD, and brought the ability to deploy Overdrive during ‘song breaks’.
