Fortnite’s Creative mode has always been a playground for imagination, allowing players to build incredible maps and experiences. For a while now, Squid Game-inspired challenges and games have become immensely popular in the gaming community. Now it looks like Fortnite might officially bring in a Squid Game mode for the gamers as they have announced a collaboration with them. Previously, one of the most popular games in Fortnite creative, consists of recreations of the deadly challenges in Squid Game. There are several Squid Game islands in Fortnite, but the Octo Game 2 stands out. While these creator-made islands are undoubtedly fun, the possibilities with an official collaboration could take things to a whole new level. Epic Games announced during the recent State of Unreal 2025 presentation that a massive Fortnite and Squid Game collaboration is launching. These powerful tools are set to drop on June 27, 2025 and creators will soon have access to Squid Game-themed environment assets, NPCs, and even disguise devices. 

When Can You Dive into the Squid Game in Fortnite?

The official collaboration drops on June 27 and players who love challenging party games will be able to enjoy this in the Fortnite creative mode. The real question still remains, whether this collaboration will extend beyond and also bring Squid Game elements into other game modes and more importantly, the item shop. 

Adding fuel to this speculation, the official Fortnite account even commented on Fortnite’s Squid Game teaser. This hint suggests that a genuine competitive element could be a part of this epic event. Considering Squid Game’s whole premise revolves around a massive prize pool, it would be incredibly intriguing to see Epic Games host a virtual Squid Game show for V-Bucks or even real money.

The future of Fortnite is looking incredibly exciting with this official Squid Game integration, and it could take the game’s experience to a whole new level.
