EA Reveals Battlefield 6 Beta: Check Dates, Maps, Schedule, Platform

EA’s Battlefield 6 is finally giving fans a taste of its multiplayer action with an upcoming open beta. Players will soon get hands-on experience with large-scale battles, dynamic maps, and a mix of thrilling modes before the full game launches later this year. While the beta will be open to everyone eventually, those who’ve been keeping an eye on announcements may find ways to experience it earlier.

EA’s DICE studio is giving players two open weekends to try the game before its full release on October 10. Know all the details. 

Battlefield 6 Beta Dates And Schedule

The Battlefield 6 beta is split into an early access period and two public weekends:

• August 7–8: Early access for players with beta codes (started at 1 a.m. PT on Aug. 7).
• August 9–11: First open beta weekend for all players (starts 1 a.m. PT on Aug. 9, ends Aug. 11 at 1 a.m. PT).
• August 14–17: Second open beta weekend for all players (starts 1 a.m. PT on Aug. 14, ends Aug. 17 at 1 a.m. PT).

If you missed the early access, you still have two full weekends to test the game.

Battlefield 6 Beta: How To Join

The Battlefield 6 beta will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Series S. To join, simply download the Battlefield 6 beta client from your platform’s store:

• Steam
• Epic Games Store
• EA App

Reports suggested that the preloading of the Battlefield 6 Beta already began on August 4, so you can be ready to play as soon as servers go live.

Expected Maps In Battlefield 6 Beta

As per a report by CNET, the first weekend (Aug. 9–10) is expected to bring:

• Liberation Peak: A vast mountainous desert.
• Siege of Cairo: Intense urban battles in Egypt.
• Iberian Offensive: High-rise combat zones.

While the second weekend of August 14–17 may bring

Empire State: Close-quarters fights in New York City.

Note For PC Players

If you’re playing on PC, make sure Secure Boot is enabled in your BIOS. This is required to combat cheating, and you won’t be able to join the beta without it. EA has an online guide to walk you through the process.
