Cyberpunk is one of the most graphically advanced games available to play, and it really brought a new wave to the gaming industry. Although it had some hiccups in the beginning, the game’s story and visuals have made it one of the most memorable titles ever. But, it’s been a while and fans have been waiting for more on this mysterious follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077, developed by CD Projekt Red’s new Boston studio. While The Witcher 4 is the bigger and more official priority, the Cyberpunk sequel is definitely in the works as well.
During a recent appearance on the TVGRY Channel, the creator of the original Cyberpunk tabletop game was asked about his involvement in Project Orion. While he’s not deeply involved this time around, he mentioned that he still keeps in touch with the development teams. He let slip that the new game features a brand-new city and quickly backtracked. He admitted he wasn’t supposed to reveal much more, but he did drop a hint about the vibe, describing it as Chicago gone wrong.
We don’t expect a big reveal anytime soon. CD Projekt Red is keeping things under wraps, and there’s been no official announcement of a Cyberpunk sequel. But fans are excited and some job listings from last year, along with a few rumours, hint that wildlife might make an appearance in the game.
Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077 fans have something to look forward to soon: a new port of the original game that is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2.
