Maruti Suzuki India Limited has unveiled its new flagship SUV – the Victoris – for the Arena channels. The new car will be exported to over 100 countries from India, as per the company. The Victoris comes in multiple powertrain options and features Advanced Level 2 ADAS for safety. The new car is also loaded with tech, offering Alexa connectivity and an 8-speaker setup. The Victoris secured a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test.
The Victoris will be available in multiple powertrain options – including smart hybrid and strong hybrid models with Petrol and a CNG variant. The car is based on the company’s Suzuki-Tect platform, which enables Maruti Suzuki engineers to position the CNG kit under the body – allowing for more space in the boot.
The Victoris borrows the Grand Vitara’s strong hybrid engine, paired with a locally assembled lithium-ion battery. Under the hood, the new SUV has a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine – which we have already seen in multiple Maruti Suzuki cars like Brezza. This variant will be compatible with Suzuki’s AllGrip Select AWD system, which will allow the Victoris to tread on challenging terrains. The AllGrip Select will be available only in the higher-specced ZXI+ and ZXI+ (O) models.
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris features a sleek sporty design with sculpted lines and an upright hood. It features a full LED light setup on the front, with DRLs connected through the chrome strip running across the nose grille. The rear features a full-width LED taillamps with segmented lights.
The Victoris will be available in 10 colour options, including 3 dual-tone shades. It will also be offered in two interior trim options, based on the variant.
The new SUV also gets a dual-pane sunroof in higher models and a powered tailgate with gesture control – expected only in the top model.
Talking about the interior, the Victoris will feature ambient lighting with 64 colour options. It gets a 10.25-inch digital multi-information display (MID) and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with Alexa Auto voice AI support and over 35 apps through the integrated app store. The new Maruti Suzuki SUV is equipped with an 8-speaker Infinity by Harman speakers, supporting Dolby Atmos 5.1 surround sound. It also features a PM 2.5 air filter, and gets an 8-way adjustable powered and ventilated seats.
In terms of safety, the Victoris brings a great deal to the table with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and seat belt reminders as standard. The higher models will come with a heads-up display (HUD), 360-degree cameras, and Advanced Level 2 ADAS – claimed to be tuned for Indian roads. The newly unveiled Maruti Suzuki SUV has secured 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests.
