WhatsApp is testing a new tool for iPhone users that could change how we draft messages. According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp update tracker, the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS (version 25.22.10.74 via TestFlight) introduces an AI-powered Writing Help assistant. The feature has already been spotted on Android, and now it’s slowly rolling out to iOS testers as well. news Also Read: WhatsApp For iPhone Tests iOS 26 Liquid Glass Design For Buttons, Menus, And Backgrounds

As per the report, the new Writing Help assistant is designed to refine your messages before you hit send. Powered by Meta’s Private Processing system, it lets users improve tone, structure, or clarity. When activated, a new pen icon replaces the sticker button in the chat bar. Tapping it sends your draft through WhatsApp’s secure system, where AI generates multiple alternatives. You can then choose to keep your original or pick one of the suggested versions. news Also Read: 7 SECRET WhatsApp Tricks To Make Messaging Faster

Feature With Private Processing: How Will It Work?

One of the biggest concerns with AI features is privacy. WhatsApp says this tool relies on Private Processing, a technology built to handle user requests anonymously and securely. The report suggests that messages sent for improvement are encrypted and anonymously routed. That means neither WhatsApp nor Meta can read or store your text. Suggestions disappear after delivery and are not saved on servers. The feature is opt-in only and stays disabled by default. In short, nothing happens unless you choose to use it.

Writing Help isn’t just about fixing typos. It can reshape your message based on the tone you want:

Rephrase: Polishes text for better readability.

Professional: Adapts your message for formal or workplace conversations.

Funny: Adds humour to lighten the tone.

Supportive: Makes messages more empathetic and encouraging.

Proofread: Fixes grammar and spelling errors.

WhatsApp may expand these tone options in the future.

Who Will Get It?

As with many WhatsApp features, Writing Help is rolling out gradually. Only a small group of iOS beta testers can try it right now, but more users are expected to gain access in the coming weeks.

If the testing goes smoothly, WhatsApp could eventually bring Writing Help to all iOS users, creating consistency across both Android and iPhone. For now, only beta users can try it, but if it expands widely, it may soon become one of WhatsApp’s most useful new tools.
