Jiohotstar has finally released the JioHotstar in the Indian market. The platform is available on all major channels like Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and the web as well. Keeping the change in mind, the original logo of Hotstar has changed and all the Jio Cinema users will be redirected to Jiohotstar to watch original content. In addition, the platform will also include content from franchises like HBO, Warner Bros, NBCUniversal Peacock, Discovery, and more. The best part about the merger is that now users will not be supposed to subscribe to different apps in order to watch Marvel shows and House of the Dragons. As of now, the application is available with free content as well. Until now, it has not been confirmed if some of the content will be paywalled or not. The Jiohotstar application brings three different tiers including Mobile, Super, and Premium. The Mobile subscription is available for Rs 149 for three months and Rs 499 for a year. The tier offers up to 720p video output and a mobile-only interface with ads. On the other hand, with the Super subscription, the users will be able to access the content on two different devices with up to 1080p video quality and Dolby Atmos support.
And yes, this tier also comes with ads. Last but not least is the Premium tier of subscription that offers streaming on up to four devices at the same time. It also supports 2160p 4K Dolby Vision resolution and Dolby Atmos support. In this tier, you will get to see ads but only in the live matches and nowhere else.
