Meta-owned Instagram has rolled out a new feature for its users; Now you can schedule direct messages on Instagram. Interesting, right? The new feature is rolling out to all the users globally. Notably, the feature is only supported for text messages. This means you can still send text, photos, and GIFs, but they can’t be scheduled to send at another time. The option of scheduling messages on Instagram will help creators and brands who want to schedule messages to send them to any specific brand or media outreach. Now they don’t have to wait for a specific time period to send the message or allow a human to send the message. They can just schedule the direct message for that specific period.

The feature will also help normal users who want to send messages to their relatives, friends, or loved ones who are living in different time zones. As soon as you click on the scheduled chat, the app will display a message or a type of notice that will let you know how many messages you have scheduled in your account.

The feature was first spotted by the social media expert Lindsey Gamble. You can schedule a message up to 29 days in advance. Additionally, Instagram will notify you with a banner that you have scheduled a message until that message is sent to the user.

Here’s How You Can Schedule a Message on Instagram:

STEP1: Tap on the message button at the top right corner of your Instagram account.

STEP2: Now click on the conversation or a specific person profile for whom you want to schedule a message.

STEP3: Now tap on the message option at the bottom.

STEP5: Now tap on the reply option.

STEP6: The next step is to enter your message.

STEP7: Tap and hold the side arrow button next to your message.

STEP8: Now you have to choose the date and time to send the message.

STEP9: One of the most important things to remember here is that the time zone will be set based on your location and device settings

STEP10: The last step is to confirm your choice at the bottom.
