Google Pay could soon bring voice-based payments; Here are the details

Google Pay has a huge user base and the app keeps getting new updates and features to make the transactions seamless. And now, we will get to see a feature with which people can initiate UPI payments with their voice. As mentioned by the Lead Product Manager for Google Pay in India, Sharath Bulusu, the voice feature could soon make a debut in the Indian market. It will make Google Pay more user friendly where you can make digital payments with voice. And yes, the feature will be a boon for the people who depend a lot on UPI transactions.

Google Pay voice-based payment details

The Google Pay voice payment feature will make online payments easy for people who are not that literate in terms of technology. Reports related to the same state that the users will be able to manage transactions simply with the instructions they have given verbally. This feature could be a result of Google Pay’s collab with the Government of India for the Bhasini AI project that will be focused on triggering payments in local languages.

Google is also making its investments in machine learning and AI tech to tackle the rising issue of cyber fraud in India. Further developments in this direction could play a major role in making Indian consumers safe from cyber threats. One thing that we can say at this point in time is that Google is trying its best to bring new innovative strategies to the country as it plays as a large market for the tech giant.

Apart from that, the release date and beta testing details of the features are not available anywhere as of now. Speculations are that we will get to see the feature this year if it gets a green flag in the early stages.
