Meta-owned Threads is now testing a new feature which could be launched before the end of the year. Instagram head Adam Mosseri mentioned on Threads that the company is planning to bring the ability to schedule posts. He added in his post that the app can’t schedule the replies and that the company wants to give people more control in order to plan their Threads Posts. However, we don’t know the exact timeline of the launch of this upcoming feature. But we can expect it to be unveiled before 2025.

Mosseri in his post shared a screenshot of the feature which the company is testing. The screenshot shows a simple tool that gives you the option to set a date and time for the post to go live in Threads. In addition, users will only be able to schedule new posts. They will not be able to schedule the existing replies to the post. The company wants to increase the enhancement of real-time conversation. Mosseri also mentions that Instagram has been working on the feature for months and maybe in the coming months the company will be able to roll out broadly.

The company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg mentioned yesterday about the daily and monthly active users on Threads. He revealed that the app has more than 100 million daily active users and also 300 million monthly active users which is up from the 275 million monthly active users in November. The company has earlier released the monthly active users, but this is the first time when it’s released the daily active users.

Threads is in tough competition with its rival social network BlueSky which claims to have over 25 million users but Instagram head Adam Mosseri says that Threads is still much bigger. With the addition of the upcoming schedule feature on the platform, the app might bring more users. The feature will enhance the overall user experience.
