WhatsApp is working on a host of new features that are expected to arrive in the app soon. Here are the top features you should know about.

Message reactions for channels
This feature will enable users to easily react to messages shared in a community announcement group, without revealing their phone numbers to unknown members in the community. Users will be able to choose between default emojis and selecting any emoji. It will be enabled by admins in Channel settings.

15 People group calling
WhatsApp support group calls up to 32 people. However, WhatsApp can start a group call with up to seven contacts only. But soon, WhatsApp users will allow users to start calls with a maximum of 15 people.

Open chat with unknown phone numbers
As of now, WhatsApp lets users initiate chats only with people whose contact details are saved in the address book of their smartphones. But soon, the company will enable users to start WhatsApp chats with people by simply searching for their phone numbers.

Channel notification
This feature will allow users to receive updates from organisations that are important to them or the ones that they follow. Additionally, it will inform users that a particular channel is not yet available and that they are being given the option to receive a notification when the ability to join channels becomes available for their account.

Animated Avatar pack
WhatsApp is also making changes to Avatars on its platform. Soon, the company will introduce the animated version of the avatar pack that will give users a more diverse set of options to pick from.
