The latest smartphone in Realme's GT series, the GT 6, is no less than a flagship phone. It has a eye-catching design, latest Snapdragon processor, and the goodness of the company's own generative AI-based tools. The Realme GT 6 was launched at an event in Italy, but it will be available internationally in several markets, including India. Let us check out its top features before it goes on sale.
A plain look at the Realme GT 6 is sufficient to figure out that this phone stands out from the crowd. It has a shiny and reflective panel on the back, inside which all the camera sensors are located. The rest of the phone's body features a matte finish. The design may not be for everyone, but it will surely have takers. It is 8.6mm thick and weighs less than 200 grams.
Although the new Realme GT 6 does not use the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will be enough for most customers looking for speedy multitasking and high-end gaming. The Realme GT 6 joins several other phones to offer a top-end performance without breaking the bank. It has up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The Realme GT 6 has flagship features, but it does not compromise on the battery backup like most other premium phones. It has a 5500mAh battery that charges at up to 120W speed using the bundled charger and USB-C cable. The smartphone, however, does not support wireless or reverse wireless charging.
Realme has used a 26mm wide angle 50MP camera with a 1/1.4-inch Sony-LYT808 sensor and f/1.7 lens, a 47mm telephoto 50MP camera with a 1/2.8-inch sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 16mm ultrawide 8MP camera with 112-degree field of view. It also has a 22mm wide 32MP camera on the front. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording.
The Realme GT 6 is the company's first smartphone to come with generative AI features. It calls it NextAI, which will allow you to make AI-powered edits to photos and improvements to videos. For instance, the AI Smart Removal will remove distractions in your photos, while AI Smart Loop will suggest apps based on your screen's content and your actions for a seamless experience.
The new Realme GT 6 has a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with variable refresh rate and support for HDR10+. But what it makes it stand out is support for 6,000 nits of peak brightness, making it practically the brightest smartphone display yet. Realme calls it Hyper Display and uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection.
The Realme GT 6 comes in three variants, but the base model costs Rs 40,999. The prices go all the way up to Rs 44,999. However, you can get an early-bird discount of Rs 5,000, bringing the price down to Rs 35,999.
