
TPV Technology, which manages the Philips audio brand in India, has introduced two new portable Bluetooth speakers – the Philips TAS1400 and TAS2400. Aimed at everyday users, these speakers come with splash resistance, stylish RGB lighting, voice assistant support, and up to 10 hours of playback. As part of a limited-time launch offer, both models are available at special discounted prices online.
The Philips TAS1400 is a budget portable Bluetooth speaker for everyday use. It has 52mm dynamic drivers which can output 12W and frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. It supports Bluetooth 5.3 and has a passive radiator for improved bass response.
It offers a 10-hour playback time when fully charged and has RGB light modes. The Philips TAS1400 supports USB, TF card, and Bluetooth for music playback. It has a hanging strap and supports voice assistants like Siri and Google Assistant. It carries an IPX4 rating for splash and sweat resistance. It is charged via USB-C and comes with a 1-year warranty.
In comparison, the Philips TAS2400 is equipped with 57mm drivers that deliver up to 32W of stereo output. And even with all of that extra power, it is claimed to offer 10 hours of playback on a single charge. The Philips TAS2400 supports Bluetooth 5.3, has a passive radiator for even deeper bass and has RGB light effects.
The Philips TAS2400 supports playback from multi-sources such as Bluetooth, USB and TF card, and is made of better durable ABS fabric and silicone materials. It includes voice assistant support, a hanging strap, IPX4 splash resistance, and charges through USB-C. A 1-year warranty is included as well.
The Philips TAS1400 is officially priced at Rs 2,599, while the TAS2400 retails for Rs 3,499. However, for a limited time, they are available at Rs 1,299 and Rs 2,299 respectively on Amazon and Flipkart. Both models come in Deep Black and Willow Bough colourways, with the TAS1400 also available in Copen Blue.
