Apple recently unveiled its iPhone 17 series, and now the company is reportedly gearing up for another event in October. However, this time the focus will not be on any iPhone, but on M-series chips. Several reports indicate and give a fair idea about what the company might announce. The attention is expected to be on the M5 chips and a potential lineup of devices, including MacBooks, iPads, and even Vision Pro devices.
As per several reports, Apple is expected to introduce the M5 chips as the successor to the M4 series, launched last year alongside iPad Pro models. The tech giant might follow a similar strategy this year and is expected to offer improved performance and better energy efficiency products. In addition, the upcoming M5 chips might deliver enhanced graphics, making it a strong contender for both professional as well as casual users.
Alongside the chip announcement, Apple might also bring a new addition to iPad Pro models, equipped with the M5 chips.
While the tech giant might unveil M5 chips, the arrival of M5-powered MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models is still expected to arrive in 2026. As per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the next year MacBook lineup will be equipped with multiple chip variants, including M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max
These MacBooks are expected to include 14-inch and 16-inch screen sizes in Pro variants. M5 MacBook Air could follow shortly after, possibly around February or March 2026.
Other products that Apple might bring to the forefront are the highly anticipated Vision Pro headsets, powered by the M5 chip. Other than Vision Pro, there could be new iPad Pro models.
Altogether, Apple could unveil or hint at five major products across late 2025 and early 2026: the M5 chip itself, M5 iPad Pro, M5 Vision Pro, M5 MacBook Pro, and M5 MacBook Air.
