Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024: Here's when Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6 will arrive

Samsung typically hosts its second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year around July and September every year wherein it launches its next generation foldable smartphones, that is, Galaxy Z Fold series and Galaxy Z Flip series. Now, a new report has revealed exactly when will we get to see the Samsung Galaxy Fold6 and the Samsung Galaxy Flip 6 smartphones.

According to a report by tipster Evan Blass, Samsung is expected to host its Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event on July 10 at 10PM KST (6:30PM IST). In a short GIF shared on X (formerly Twitter) via his official channel, Blass shared ‘10.07.24’ as the date for event. Take a peek:

Beyond this, the tipster shared no further details as to what we should expect from the event. That said, another report back in April had suggested a similar date for the event. SamMobile back in April had reported that Samsung would host its second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year sometime in July. Now, new reports have shed more clarity in this regard.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked: What to expect

As far as expected devices are concerned, Samsung is expected to launch a host of devices at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July. In addition to launching the Galaxy Z Fold6 and the Galaxy Z Flip6 foldable display smartphones, the company is also expected to launch the Galaxy Ring, which the company announced during the launch of the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year.

But the list doesn’t end there. Samsung is also expected to launch its next generation smartwatch — the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra — and its next generation Truly Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds — Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Galaxy Buds 3 — at the event in July.

Coming to the prices, reports suggest that Samsung is raising the prices of its Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones this year. Samsung is likely to launch the 256GB storage variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 at $1,099 (Rs 91,827 approximately) and the 512GB storage variant at $1,219 (Rs1,01,848 approximately). For reference, the company launched the 256GB and the 512GB variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 at $999 and $1,119 last year respectively. Essentially, it is raising the prices by $100.

This trend is likely to continue in case of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 as well. The 256GB, 512GB and 1TB variants of the devices are expected to cost $1,899, $2,109 and $2,259 respectively, which is $100 more than the prices at which the Galaxy Z Flip 5 arrived last year.
