Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge could launch on April 16: Reports

Samsung has most probably finalized the date for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. As per a report published by a South Korean publication, the smartphone will make its debut in the global market on April 16, 2025. Nonetheless, the time and date of launch could differ keeping in mind that the time zones are different. The release of the device will be online and it is being touted as the thinnest member of the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S25 series.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was teased for the first time in the Galaxy Unpacked event that made its debut in 2025. With this one, Samsung is trying to beat Apple as the Cupertino-giant is also bringing the iPhone 17 Air this year. While the Apple iPhone 17 Air will be a little thinner, it will only have a single sensor, on the other hand, the Galaxy S25 Edge will get two sensors at the back.

Apart from that, rumors have it that the Galaxy S25 series will ship with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 200MP primary shooter and a 50MP ultra wide-angle shooter. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. As for the thickness, the smartphone will measure around 5.84mm and will weigh less than 162 grams. With this, the phone will be remembered as the lightest and thinner smartphone available in the market.

The front panel of the smartphone is pretty identical to the Galaxy S25+ along with identical screen size. The handset scored around 2806 in the single-core tests and around 8416 in the multi-core tests. It will also have 12GB RAM along with at least 256GB internal storage. The device will be based on the Android 15 operating system with One UI 7 skin on top. We can also get to see a 3900mAh battery along with wired fast charging support.
