Samsung has postponed the launch of the upcoming new mid-range smartphone in India. The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G, a successor to the Galaxy F54 5G from last year, will launch next week in India. The device is expected to boast a vegan leather back, improved cameras, and a new chipset. It will likely pack a massive 6,000mAh battery and get fast charging support. The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G is expected to be priced under RS 30,000 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant. The smartphone will arrive in orange and black colour options. Samsung Galaxy F55 5G will be a big upgrade from its predecessor. It will feature a vegan leather back with a stitched pattern on the sides. It will likely have a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution. The punch-hole screen will likely be brighter and have a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. One of the notable upgrades the device will get is on the camera front. It will flaunt a triple-rear camera system on the back with a 50MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The main lens will have Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support, as advertised by Samsung in the promotional materials.

Upfront, it will have a 50MP camera for clicking selfies. This will be a huge improvement as the Galaxy F54 had an older sensor main sensor and a 32MP selfie camera. Both the front and the rear cameras will be capable of shooting 4K videos.

This time around, Samsung will go with a Qualcomm chipset to power the phone. The device will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset paired with Adreno GPU. It will come up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It may have an expandable slot for additional storage. The device will likely be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging support. It will boot on Android 14 OS out of the box with One UI 6.1 on top.
