Oppo is coming up with a new smartphone in India later this month. The company has announced the launch of the new K12x 5G on July 30. The K12x 5G could be Oppo’s next low-range phone based on the key specifications the company announced. The upcoming K-series phone will carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, so you can use it in light showers without a hassle. Oppo has also equipped the K12x 5G with the Splash Touch technology that will allow you to use the touchscreen with wet hands or when the screen is wet. The Oppo K12x 5G will come in Breeze Blue and Midnight Violet colour options.
Oppo claims the K12x 5G has a 360-degree damage-proof armour body, which is made of drop-resistant material and twice-reinforced Panda Glass. The phone also has MIL-STD-810H certification, which the company claims will let the phone brave extreme heat, moisture, and shock. Oppo has also packed an Air Cushion Armour Case with corner cushioning and reinforced back for protection against accidental drops. The K12x 5G is 7.68mm slim and weighs 186g.
You will get a 6.67-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It will also have L1 Widevine certification for HD streaming from DRM-protected apps, such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Oppo’s upcoming phone will also feature AI Linkboost technology for stable signal strength and faster network recovery in spotty areas, such as elevators, basements, and crowded spaces like stadiums and concerts. The Oppo K12x 5G will pack a 5100mAh battery with support for 45W SuperVOOC charging. The charger will be bundled in the box.
