OnePlus plans a big launch in Bengaluru, India, where it will introduce the OnePlus 15R smartphone and the OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet. The keynote will be organized on December 17 and will honor the 12th anniversary of the brand and unite thousands of OnePlus Community members. It will also be streamed on YouTube and social media platforms of the company, and it will be the first time that the company will have live keynotes. OnePlus has already provided some important specifications of the two devices before its official launch and they include enhancements in display, performance and user experience of the devices.
The Oneplus 15R will have the same display as its flagship Oneplus 15 (1.5K AMOLED, 165Hz refresh rate). The screen will have a pixel density of 450ppti and a maximum brightness of 1800 nits, the brightness range will also be wide with the difference between 2 nits and 1800 nits covering a wide range.
Camera-wise, the 15R will come with the OnePlus proprietary Detailmax Engine, as well as, Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst, and Clear Night Engine, guaranteeing improved computational photography. The device will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC which is co-optimised with Qualcomm to run well and has the new G2 Wi-Fi chip and Touch Response Chip which enables it to have faster connectivity and react to touch controls.
OnePlus Pad Go 2 is a mid-range tablet that is aimed at productivity and media consumption. It is featured with a 12.1-inch 2.8K screen, which has the resolution of 284PPI, brightness of 900 nits, and covers up to 98 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The display has Dolby Vision and TUV Rheinland Smart Care 4.0 certification. The tablet will also be powered by the Open Canvas software, which will allow users to multitask on the tablet with split screens and the ability to use the touch controls easily and allow the users to easily switch between several apps on the big screen.
These two devices will have their official unveiling at Bengaluru keynote on December 17, and the availability of both the devices in both India and international market will be announced at the event. OnePlus has the potential to grow its ecosystem and offer products designed to appeal to both tablet and mobile users with flagship-level performance on the OnePlus 15R and productivity-oriented designs on the Pad Go 2.
