No More Difference? iPhone 17 Display Leak Hints At iPhone 17 Pro-Like Size

The iPhone 17 series is gearing up to launch in September 2025. Leaks and rumours are suggesting the upcoming series is expected to get a bunch of important upgrades over the iPhone 16 series. The latest leak has tipped that the display difference between the standard iPhone and the Pro model.

As per a report by GSMArena, the iPhone 17 is tipped to get a bigger display of 6.3-inch, same as the iPhone 17 Pro, Spigen’s store on Amazon India listing suggested. The Spigen’s EZ Fit Tempered Glass Screen Protector Guard listing accidentally mentioned the compatibility with iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 (which has been later removed). Note, that the iPhone 16 Pro also has a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 settles with a 6.1-inch display.

iPhone 16: 6.1-inch

iPhone 16 Plus: 6.7-inch

iPhone 16 Pro: 6.3-inch

iPhone 17: 6.3-inch

iPhone 17 Air: 6.6-inch

iPhone 17 Pro: 6.3-inch

iPhone 17 Pro Max: 6.9-inch

This is not the first time. Some previous leaks by DSCC analyst Ross Young has also suggested about the potential display upgrade for the standard model. Not only this, the standard models — iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Air are expected feature a 120Hz refresh rate finally just like the Pro models. The iPhone 16 standard models and its predecessors are all settled with a 60Hz display. If it comes true, this will be a big upgrade for the iPhone fans.

iPhone 17 Series: What Else To Expect

The iPhone 17 series is expected to have a new member. Instead of the Plus, the upcoming lineup is expected to bring a new slim model, the iPhone 17 Air. As mentioned earlier, it will be a smaller display size than the iPhone 16 Plus and may even bring a single camera setup. Well, it could be more about the slim phone design.

Apart from this, the iPhone 17 series is expected to get an upgraded 24MP selfie camera against the current 12MP option. Moreover, the entire lineup is expected to go through a design makeover in terms of camera module at the back with a large rectangular island.
