Google has launched the all-new Pixel 9 series in India, including the trio Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The latter offers a larger screen and a big battery. All models come with a more curvy design on the sides and pack a brand-new Tensor chipset. The Pixel 9 boasts a 6.3-inch Actua display with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2424 pixels resolution. It has up to 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and up to 2700 nits of peak brightness. Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL come with the same design and have similar features. The major difference between the two is the screen size, with the Pixel 9 Pro featuring a 6.3-inch screen and the 6.8-inch panel on the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

Both phones have a Super Actua display, which is an LTPO panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus 3, and up to 3000 nits of peak brightness. The Pro model has a 1280 x 2856 resolution, whereas, the Pro XL model has a higher 1344 x 2992 pixels resolution. Both Pro models also have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Coming to the cameras, the Pixel 9 has a dual-camera system with a 50MP main lens and a 48MP ultrawide lens. There’s a 10.5MP selfie snapper. The Pixel 9 and 9 Pro XL flaunt a triple-rear camera system with a 50MP main lens, a 48MP ultrawide lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens with 30x Super Res Zoom. All models have a ton of AI features for the camera, including Pixel Screenshots.

The trio is powered by a Tensor G4 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM on the Pixel 9 and 16GB of RAM on the Pixel 9. All models have the Titan M2 security chipset. Google has also packed a vapour chamber for keeping the thermals in check during heavy usage.

The Pixel 9 houses a 4,700mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL come with 4,700mAh and 5,060mAh batteries with the same 45W fast charging. Pixel 9 models offer nearly 20 percent longer battery.

The lineup also comes with a Satellite SoS feature, which will be exclusive to the US for now. All Pixel models ship with Pixel Studio, an on-device image-generation tool. Out of the box, the Pixel 9 trio runs on Android 14, however, Google should push Android 15 soon.
