Apple Launches 14-inch MacBook Pro With M5 Chip And Up To 24-Hour Battery Life: Check Price And Availability

Apple has just announced the all-new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M5 chip while focusing on AI performance. Based on the on-paper specs, the M5 promises faster speeds, stronger graphics, and better battery life. One of the interesting facts is that it all comes without raising the starting price. That means smoother text-to-image generation, quicker on-device LLM responses, and faster creative workflows in apps like Draw Things, Blender, and Xcode. 

MacBook Pro With M5 Chip: Specifications And Features

The new MacBook Pro’s 10-core CPU brings a 20% speed boost over the M4, making it great for multitasking or compiling large projects. Apple says it offers up to 1.6x higher frame rates in games and faster load times for local AI models, thanks to an upgraded SSD with speeds up to twice as fast as before.

It features a Liquid Retina XDR display, a 12MP Centre Stage camera, and a six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio. And of course, the new macOS Tahoe brings updated Spotlight, Live Translation, and Apple Intelligence integration for smarter workflows. For users moving up from Intel or M1 models, Apple promises major upgrades, such as up to 86x faster AI performance compared to Intel systems and 6x faster AI speeds over M1. 

MacBook Pro With M5 Price And Availability

The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 comes at a starting price of $1,599 and $1,499 with education savings. In India, it starts at Rs 1,69,900 for the base model of 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. While other models with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage cost Rs 1,89,900, and the 24GB RAM with 1TB storage option costs Rs 2,09,900. 

It is available for pre-order starting today from the Apple Store app and the apple.com/store. You can find it available in space black and silver colour options. However, it will be in Apple Store locations and Apple Authorised Resellers, starting October 22.
