Summer Game Fest 2025 is officially here and it is going to be one of the busiest weeks for the gamers. Not only are we getting the long-awaited reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2, but Sony’s also humping in with their event called State of Play on June 4.

Sony’s State of Play: When and Where to Watch

Sony’s showcase will go live on Wednesday, June 4 at 5PM ET(June 5, 2:30 am IST). You can tune in via YouTube and there will be English-subtitled and Japanese versions available too. To make it more accessible for all the gaming enthusiasts here is the link to the official event that is scheduled to begin 2:30 am IST. As soon as the event starts the official stream will go live.

The event is expected to run for over 40 minutes, which suggests there’s a solid lineup of games. The company hasn’t teased anything making the event even more exciting as we don’t know what all we can expect.

What Might Show Up?

While Sony is keeping its cards close to its chest, we already know the first two State of Plays this year dropped some juicy reveals. Back in February, we got the first look at Soros from Housemarque (the Returnal devs), a PS5 remaster of Days Gone, and even the long-awaited Borderlands 4 release date. Then came April’s Borderlands-centric showcase with fresh gameplay and multiplayer mechanics.

This time, we can expect Sony to shift the spotlight back to a broader slate of must-play PS5 games. With the holiday season coming closer, we could also get release dates for some of Sony’s bigger exclusives and maybe a surprise announcement or two. Some predictions have hinted at a showcase of Marvel’s Wolverine and a rumoured untitled Venom game. Also, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is PlayStation’s big summer game that could be showcased at the PlayStation event .

TRENDING NOW

Sony’s State of Play is just the first domino to fall in a week absolutely brimming with announcements. After June 4, all eyes turn to Nintendo’s Switch 2 debut on June 5. Then, on Sunday, June 8, Xbox will take the stage with what’s expected to be its biggest showcase of the year.
