PUBG Battlegrounds update 29.2: Krafton has released version 29.2 of its popular battle royale game, PUBG Battlegrounds. This update brings a host of important updates to the game, which includes two new maps, Erangel and Rondo, new features, improved weapons and a new survivor pass to name a few. PUBG Battlegrounds update 29.2: Here’s what’s new in the game

Erangel Classic Map

— Availability: This map will be available in normal match as a featured map and in custom match. It will be available between 7AM on May 14 to May 28 on PC and between 7AM on May 28 to June 6 in normal match. Similarly, the map will be available between May 14 to June 12 on PC and between May 23 to June 20 in custom match.

— Weather: Erangel Classic will bring Sunny, Sunset and Overcast weather options to PUBG Battlegrounds.

— It will also bring weapon and armour improvements. All armor performance is increased by 7.5 percent. Horizontal recoil and vertical recoil of ARs and SMGs have been decreased by 30 percent. On the other hand, horizontal and vertical recoil of DMRs, LMGs and shotguns have been decreased by 20 percent.

— Coming to UI, Krafton says that some of the in-game UI is reverted to the old version, including the world map, mini-map, Blue Zone UI, match start timer, and kill/survival UI. Additionally, it has made team number, screen ping marker, and Waypoint available in the game.

— Talking about spawn, while the types and total amount of world spawn items and vehicles have remained unchanged, Helmet (Lv.3) and seventeen classic skins have been added as world spawn. items.

World: Rondo Map

— Krafton has added a Zipline Gun to the map. The Zipline Gun cannot be used without the Zipline Gun Cable, which has a reload time of 3 seconds. According to the details shared by the company, Ziplines can be placed on buildings, terrain, and stationary, and indestructible objects and it can be used up to four times. It is available in both normal match and custom match.

— Additionally, Krafton is improving in-game challenges in this map. “From the challenge list shown on the left side of the world map, you can now share challenges with your teammates via Radio Message,” the company wrote in its patch notes adding, “Challenges cannot be shared while spectating.”

New Feature: Win Streak Showdown

— This is the area where premade teams compete in Normal Match for achievements beyond the Chicken Dinner. To participate, players will have to enable the Win Streak Showdown option located under the Select Game Mode panel in the Play – Normal tab.

— As far as rewards are concerned, Krafton says that the rewards for each consecutive win can only be earned once every seven days, and that a player’s reward history and win streak will reset every Wednesday 12 AM (UTC). The company also said that achieving a win streak and placing first in the same match will grant Perfect Match rewards.

Arcade

Arcade brings a new map called Liana for Team Deathmatch. It has been designed to promote diverse combat opportunities, Liana caters to an array of gunplay styles. “Players will encounter a complex network of intersecting routes, bridging varied locations such as the outskirts with a sea view, wide roads, Underpass, Studio, Cafe, Midway, and more.
Several elevated areas, including most rooftops, are inaccessible,” the company added.

Survivor Pass

The latest update also brings a new Survivor Pass, Off the Grid, for the players.

Workshop

The company has also added Viking Invader, Bad Bunnies and Curse of the Wicked item sets to Hunter’s Chest and Archivist’s Chest.
