Ayaneo has officially launched their next-gen handheld gaming consoles. The Pocket S2 and Pocket S2 Pro bring Snapdragon’s G3 Gen 3 power to the Android handheld market. These handhelds are sleek and pack in serious specs with modular controls.

Ayaneo Pocket S2 Series Specifications 

The Ayaneo Pocket S2 and S2 Pro have a 6.3-inch 2K IPS display. This screen offers sharp visuals for everything from retro classics to high-end mobile titles. The body of these handhelds is made of CNC-machined aluminum, giving it a premium feel.

Under the hood, these consoles are the first Android gaming handhelds powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon G3 Gen 3. This is a dedicated chip made specifically for handhelds by Qualcomm. It’s super powerful, featuring a 3.3GHz prime core and an Adreno A33 GPU. Ayaneo claims this chip delivers up to 30% better CPU performance and 28% better GPU performance over its predecessor. Just to give an idea of its raw power, these handhelds score over 2 million points on AnTuTu.

Ayaneo has made sure that this handheld delivers consistent performance by using a custom cooling system with a massive copper plate, large fin array, and a top-down fan. This setup allows for up to 20W sustained TDP, making it ideal for long gaming sessions. 

On the battery front, the Pocket S2 comes with an 8,000mAh battery and 40W fast charging, while the S2 Pro packs a larger 10,000mAh battery with support for 60W PD charging.

Talking about features, these handhelds have TMR electromagnetic joysticks, making them ultra-precise and drift-free. They also come with RGB lighting for those enhanced gaming vibes. One exclusive feature in the S2 Pro that gamers will love is the detachable D-pad, which lets you switch between standard and 8-way modes.

Ayaneo Pocket S2 Series Pricing

The Ayaneo Pocket S2 series is now available for pre-order in China and globally via Indiegogo. The Pocket S2 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at 2,999 yuan (approx. Rs 36,142), while the Pocket S2 Pro with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage comes in at 4,999 yuan (approx. Rs 60,245).
