  • Realme GT 6 is Rs 10,000 pricier than the GT 6T.

Realme has officially launched the all-new Realme GT 6 in the Indian market. The smartphone comes in the upper midrange segment and offers an impressive specs sheet. Some of the phone’s highlights include a 120Hz OLED screen, triple-rear cameras, and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. While the phone appears to be a solid choice for the price, it’s very similar to the recently launched Realme GT 6T. The latter looks identical and is also priced lower. So, what’s the difference between the Realme GT 6 and Realme GT 6T? Which one is the best for you? Let’s see in this specs comparison.

Realme GT 6 vs Realme GT 6T: Design, Display

One of the major differences between the two is the built quality. While the design is almost identical, the GT 6 is more premium with a glass back. The GT 6T has a plastic back. Despite the different materials the weight difference isn’t much. The GT 6 weighs 199 grams, whereas, the GT 6T weighs 191 grams. The GT 6 has an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, which the cheaper GT 6T lacks.

The display remains a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED on both models. It’s a 120Hz screen with HD10+ support and 1,000 nits of typical brightness. Both have Corning Gorilla Glass protection. They have the same 1.5k resolution and a 450ppi density.

Realme GT 6 vs Realme GT 6T: Camera

The Realme GT 6 has a better camera island featuring a 50MP OIS main lens, a 50MP telephoto lens with 47mm focal length, and an 8MP ultrawide lens for 112-degree photos and videos. The GT 6T lacks a telephoto lens, however, the rest of the sensors are the same. Both can shoot 4K videos at 60fps. The duo also have the same 32MP camera on the front for selfies.

Realme GT 6 vs Realme GT 6T: Performance

The notable difference between the two, which sets them apart, is the performance. Of course, the GT 6T is cheaper so it has a mid-range level performance with the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. The GT 6 is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, which is very powerful.

The GT 6T also has less RAM, it comes with a maximum of 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 (for 128GB)/UFS 4.0 storage. The GT 6, on the other hand, comes with 16GB of maximum RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The battery stays the same, i.e. a 5,500mAh cell with 120W wired fast charging. Realme claims that the phone can go from 1 percent to 50 percent in about 10 minutes. They can be fully charged in under half an hour. Both run on Android 14 OS and have Realme UI 5.0 on top.

Price and verdict

Coming to the price, the Realme GT 6 starts at Rs 40,999, whereas, the GT 6T begins at Rs 30,999. That said, it’s a Rs 10,000 price difference. But is it worth spending Rs 10k more on the GT 6? Well, it’s clear that GT 6 is a better choice in terms of specifications. However, it boils down to your preferences.

TRENDING NOW

If you want a premium build, telephoto lens, and a flagship-like performance, the Rs 10k can be a good investment for you. But we’d like to tell you that the performance difference won’t be that noticeable in daily usage since both are new chips based on the 4nm process. So users who are fine with a decent performance but lack a telephoto lens can get the GT 6T instead of the GT 6. Others can consider the GT 6 after reviewing its alternatives.
