MG Windsor EV launched in India at a price of Rs 9.99 lakhs

MG has launched a new electric vehicle, MG Windsor EV, in the Indian market. The vehicle is being hailed as an Intelligent CUV inspired by the Windsor Castle located in the UK. For your information, this one is a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV that is sold in Indonesia. As for the features, MG claims that the EV can go up to 331km on a single charge and offers more than 80 connected features with the i-SMART technology.

The MG Windsor EC is available in the Indian market at a starting price of RS 9,99,000 (ex-showroom price). MG has mentioned that the prices as of now are only introductory and they will be further increased. The pre-reservations for the vehicle have already started and the exclusive test drive for the same will start on September 26, 2024. The EV is shipping in three variants – Exclusive, Excite, and Essence. It has four color options – Turquoise Green, Pearl White, Clay Beige, and Starburst Black.

MG Windsor’s design and features

The MG Windsor comes with an AeroGlide design and looks like a cross between an SUV and a Sedan. The vehicle includes 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, vertically stacked LED headlamps, and taillights, along with integrated spoiler and flush-fitting door handles. It sports 135-degree multi-step reclining seats along with ambient lighting consisting of 256 color options.

The digital driver’s display has also been added to the EV coupled with a 15.6-inch infotainment display supporting both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. In addition, the EV also gets rear AC vents and a 9-way speaker system. One of the most amazing parts is that the users can share their keys with other individuals via smartphone. The vehicle also supports voice commands. Safety features include a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), 360-degree camera, six airbags, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake with auto hold functionality, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
