OpenAI Launches Learning Accelerator In India Ahead Of First Office Launch In Delhi

OpenAI is constantly focusing on one of its top markets – India. A few days after confirming that the AI giant is set to open its first-ever corporate office in Delhi later this year, OpenAI has launched Learning Accelerator in India. Leah Belsky, VP of Education, OpenAI said in a blog post, “We believe AI has incredible potential to empower educators and learners. To realise that potential, we must work side by side with educators and institutions. OpenAI Partners With IIT Madras

One of the key initiatives of the Learning Accelerator program is the partnership with IIT Madras, along with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and more. Via these collaborations with Indian institutes, OpenAI will focus on key parameters such as advanced research on AI, training for AI, AI tools for learners, and more.  Also Read: 7 ChatGPT Myths People Still Believe

• OpenAI has several plans. One of them is said to be distributing approximately half a million ChatGPT licenses and training to educators and students in India.
• In government schools, OpenAI is planning to provide ChatGPT access to teacher.
• AICTE will provide ChatGPT access to technical institutes across India.
• OpenAI is also providing ChatGPT access to teachers of the ARISE (Association for Reinventing School Education) member schools to offer personalized and responsive teaching. 
• Partners will take advantage of the Study Mode of ChatGPT to serve as a personalized tutor to students. It will guide students with personalized responses, interactive questioning, and structured instruction. It will keep them engaged while building deeper understanding. 

OpenAI’s Expansion In India

As mentioned before, OpenAI is planning to open its corporate office in Delhi, the national capital of India, later this year. Now, the ChatGPT-maker has announced  Learning Accelerator in the country. Not only these, OpenAI is also planning to hire locally for better management. If you remember, ChatGPT Go subscription tier was recently launched in India as an affordable plan at Rs 399.
