Artificial Intelligence is rising rapidly, and hence it is reshaping how companies operate and how it will impact future jobs. Tech leaders such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, and more are placing AI at the centre stage which resulting in many traditional roles that were performed by humans being replaced by Artificial Intelligence. Google’s CEO Sunder Pichai also addressed employees at the company directly and urged them to rely more on AI and not their colleagues.

Here’s What Sunder Pichai Said About Relying on Artificial Intelligence:

During a recent all-hands meeting at Google, CEO Sunder Pichai addressed employees and emphasized relying on AI. He urges employees at Google to embrace AI not only as a tool but as a primary source of support.

He says, “Anytime you go through a period of extraordinary investment, you respond by adding a lot of headcount, right? But in this AI moment, I think we have to accomplish more by taking advantage of this transition to drive higher productivity.”

How Alphabet is Supporting This Vision:

Google’s parent company Alphabet is also supporting and backing this vision. The company mentions about investing significant financial commitments toward Google. In addition, the tech giant plans to invest $85 billion in capital expenditures in 2025. This is a significant jump from last year $75 billion target.

Much of this spending will be used toward building the infrastructure and supporting the need to power advanced AI models and tools within the company. “We are competing with other companies in the world,” Pichai noted. “There will be companies which will become more efficient through this moment in terms of employee productivity, which is why I think it’s important to focus on that.”

Microsoft, Amazon are Also Coming up with the Same Idea:

Other tech companies like Microsoft are also backing up this idea where companies are focusing more on AI and urging their employees to use more AI rather than relying on colleagues. Talking about Amazon, the company’s CEO Andy Jassy told employees that generative AI would allow the company to operate with ‘scrappier teams’. It suggests that in the coming years, the headcounts or employees in the company would shrink.

Microsoft’s Julia Liuson stated bluntly that “using AI is no longer optional,” while Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke described a “fundamental expectation” for staff to leverage AI before asking for more resources.
