Spotify is offering select users in India an exclusive opportunity to enjoy three months of its Premium Standard plan at no cost. However, this limited-time offer is not visible to all users. This indicates that Spotify is targeting specific accounts based on activity and subscription history. The app will also follow payment patterns too while determining the subscription plans.
As soon as the free trial ends, the service will automatically transitions to a monthly charge of Rs 199.
Spotify has not announced the offer publicly, but you can still confirm the eligibility through the app. If you want to check the eligibility, then you can go directly on the app and tap on the Premium tab at the bottom.
The next part is to scroll down to the Premium Standard section and look for a banner that offers three months at Rs 0. If you could see the banner, then you can proceed to the checkout screen to activate the trial. Accounts that do not display the offer cannot manually enable it, as Spotify determines access based on internal criteria such as listening habits and prior subscription activity.
Additionally, the company has also updated its several plans, cater to different segment of listeners. Check out the plan:
Premium Lite: The Premium Lite plan starts at Rs 139 per month and allow users to stream music ad-free, however, it does not support offline downloads.
Premium Standard: The Premium Standard plan starts at Rs 199 per month and offers ad-free and high-quality audio. In addition, users will also have offline downloads too. If you are a student, then this plan is beneficial for you as it has the same benefits, but at a discounted rate of Rs 99 per month.
Premium Platinum: The last plan of Premium Platinum starts at Rs 299 per month and it offers advanced AI-powered features such as AI DJ functionality, AI-curated playlists, and compatibility with third-party DJ software. Not only this, you can also add two household members with separate accounts under the same subscription.
