Lenovo is back in the Android tablet game and has launched two new devices. The Lenovo Idea Tab and the Tab K11 Gen 2 both come loaded with solid specifications and run on the latest Android 15. These two tablets are built to offer a balanced mix of performance, entertainment, and productivity. While the features and specs are similar on both, there are a few key differences. These tablets come with large 11-inch IPS LCD panels featuring a crisp 2.5K resolution. They also offer a 90Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness. Overall, both tablets deliver an excellent display experience for multimedia and productivity needs. The displays support stylus input, making them perfect for students who want to take notes or sketch on the go. Additionally, the tablets feature a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, ensuring an immersive experience for media consumption. Under the hood, both tablets are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset. This processor is paired with either 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. They also support microSD expansion up to 2TB, which is always a welcome addition.
The Tab K11 Gen 2 steps things up with eSIM support, while both models include the standard nano SIM and microSD combo tray. In the battery department, these tablets feature a solid 7,040mAh unit with support for 20W fast charging via USB-C.
Now, the key difference between the two lies in the camera department. The Idea Tab comes with an 8MP rear and 5MP front camera, while the Tab K11 Gen 2 features upgraded cameras with a 13MP rear and 8MP front sensor.
These tablets are available in two colours: Luna Grey and Polar Blue. Lenovo also offers additional accessories that can be purchased separately, including a folio case, a keyboard, and a stylus.
There’s no official word on pricing or availability yet, but since these tablets have been approved, Lenovo is likely to share more details very soon.
