FASTag Annual Pass in India: Price, Eligibility, and How to Buy Online
The government of India has introduced a new FASTag-based Annual Pass for private vehicle owners in India. This move aims to make highway travel smoother and more affordable for frequent commuters. Announced by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, the pass will be available from August 15, 2025, and is valid for non-commercial private vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans. The government says this initiative aims to reduce toll-related issues, especially in areas where toll booths are located less than 60 km apart. Here’s what the pass helps to skip frequent stopping at toll plazas, helps to reduce disputes over toll charges, brings a simplified payment experience, cut down on travel time and traffic congestion.
