Qualcomm is going all in this year with new processors and the launch of Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC is the living proof of that. The latest in the Snapdragon 6 series delivers 11% enhanced CPU performance along with an Adreno GPU that can provide 29% better performance as compared to the predecessor.
That’s not it, Qualcomm has also claimed that it will be 12% more power saving in comparison to the third generation processors. The most intriguing part about the SoC is that it comes with support for 4K gaming coupled with wireless lossless audio. And yes, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is the first in the series to get Gen AI support.
Other features of the processor include triple 12-bit ISPs, Bluetooth 5.4 with dual antennas, Qualcomm FastConnect 802.11ax (WiFi 6E) and triple frequency GNSS (L1/L5/L2).
Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 details
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor bring one Prime Core offering up to 2.3GHz of clock speed, three performance cores offering up to 2.2GHz of clock speed, and four efficiency cores offering up to 1.8GHz of clock speed. The chipset is based on the 4nm process tech and it also gets built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G modem-RF system. It will be able to deliver 5G download speeds up to 2.9Gbps.
The processor also brings Codec support for HDR vivid, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG. Furthermore, it also includes Qualcomm Aqstic smart speaker amplifier and Qualcomm Aqstic audio codec, Total Harmonic Distortion, Noise (THD+N), Qualcomm Audio and Voice Communication Suite.
