OnePlus launched its new flagship Android tablet, the Pad 3, at the Summer Launch Event where the Nord 4 and a few accessories also debuted. The new OnePlus Pad 2 looks mostly similar to the first generation, but brings significant upgrades in performance, especially with the company’s generative artificial intelligence (AI) features. It is also sleeker and sturdier than the OnePlus Pad, featuring a metal unibody of 6.49mm thickness. With the latest Qualcomm chipset, the OnePlus Pad 3 can take on stalwarts like the iPad while costing significantly less.
You can buy the OnePlus Pad 2 in two configurations. The one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage costs Rs 39,999, while the model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at Rs 42,999. ICICI Bank card owners can get instant Rs 2,000 off when the sale begins at noon on August 1. The OnePlus Pad has just one Nimbus Gray colour. The OnePlus Smart Keyboard costs Rs 8,499, while the Stylo 2 is priced at Rs 5,499.
Boasting a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a 3000×2120-pixel resolution, a 900-nit peak brightness, and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144Hz, the OnePlus Pad 2 is a good option for people looking for an Android tablet. It uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. You cannot expand the storage on the tablet, which most customers may find offputting. The tablet has Wi-Fi 7 for fast wireless internet connections but also uses Wi-Fi 5 for older modems and routers. It has Bluetooth 5.4 along with Bluetooth LE. The OnePlus Pad 2 packs a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front camera. The latter comes with several software optimisations for better video calls. The tablet also has a 9510mAh battery with support for 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. The charger is available inside the retail box. Weighing 584g, the OnePlus Pad runs Android 14-based OxygenOS 14.
You can pair the OnePlus Stylo 2 and the OnePlus Smart Keyboard to get the best out of the OnePlus Pad 2. While the Stylo 2 comes with magnetic charging and pressure and tilt sensitivity, the Smart Keyboard can be tilted between 110 and 165 degrees. It is detachable and has a magnetic pogo-pin charging. The OnePlus Smart Keyboard supports One-Touch Transmission for easy connection with your OnePlus phone.
