Apple has finally confirmed the launch date of its next iPhone lineup. The iPhone 17 series will be unveiled on September 9, 2025, during its “Awe Dropping” event at the Steve Jobs Theatre, Cupertino. The keynote will begin at 10:30 PM IST for Indian viewers. This year, the lineup will bring four models – the standard iPhone 17, a new slim iPhone 17 Air, the iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max. When Will iPhone 17 Go on Sale?

Apple usually follows the same timeline every year. Going by that, pre-orders are likely to begin on September 12, just a few days after the launch event. 

The official sale in India is expected to start from September 19. But like always, high demand could mean delays in deliveries for the Pro models.

What To Expect From iPhone 17 Series

The iPhone 17 lineup is expected to pack some major upgrades across all models. Here’s what to expect from the iPhone 17 series:

• A19 Bionic chip powering all four models. However, the Pro models may get the A19 Pro chip.
• iOS 26 with AI-driven features like smarter Siri and advanced camera intelligence
• A different design with slimmer bezels and a lighter build. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are also expected to get a design revamp. 
• Camera upgrades are expected too. The iPhone 17 Pro models may bring a 48MP periscope zoom lens, better low-light performance, and even 8K video recording. 
• All the iPhone 17 models are expected to get a 24MP selfie camera, a major pixel boost.
• The iPhone 17 Air will be the biggest shift, as it may bring a slim, lightweight design while still packing flagship-level features.
