Antennas Moving To The Camera Module

Tipster Majin Bu claims Apple is taking inspiration from the Apple Watch Ultra by relocating the iPhone’s antennas to surround the rear camera module. In current models, antennas sit along the edges, leaving visible breaks in the frame. While functional, this design can sometimes interfere with 5G and Wi-Fi 7 performance, especially when the phone is held in certain ways or placed in a case.

Placing antennas around the larger camera module could help reduce signal interference from hands, cases, or internal metal components. The goal? A more consistent signal, lower latency, and faster streaming or data transfers, particularly in crowded urban areas or challenging indoor spaces.
