Apple is all set to unveil its highly-anticipated iPhone 17 series this September with premium features and specs. The company could launch four iPhones under this lineup including iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the iPhone 17 Air. The upcoming Phone 17 Air is the one that has sparked a lot of curiosity among iPhone users. And the reason for this is that it is expected to be the thinnest iPhone Apple has ever made.
Lets’ see what we know about the iPhone 17 Air:
The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be 5.5mm slim profile and weighing around 145 grams. It’s likely to take the place of the current Plus variant. Other than this, the new leak from tipster MajinBuOfficial suggests that the upcoming iPhone 17 Air will be available in four color options including black, silver, light gold, and light blue.
These color options can be seen as a change of trends compared to the range of the iPhone 16, which boasted the pink, teal, and ultramarine variants. Leaked pictures of the mock-up models published online depict a more mature appearance, as the black and silver versions can have a much more traditional appearance of the iPhone 16 series.
The iPhone 17 Air is likely to have a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen and a fluid 120Hz refreshing speed will further guarantee improved image and interactivity. Under the hood, apple can fit the A18 or A19 chip, 8GB of the RAM, so it is performance ready to run the contemporary applications and multitask.
It also looks like camera upgrades are on the pipeline. The phone is expected to be mounted with a 48MP back camera and a 24MP front camera, an upped version of the current standards of selfie cameras. The phone may be powered by a battery of 2,800mAh, just about enough to last one full day, but less than Pro types.
The iPhone 17 Air is expected to launch in September 2025, with a starting price of around $1,299 (approx. ₹1,09,500). If rumors hold true, it could mark a bold step in Apple’s design evolution which is merging power, minimalism, and premium appeal in one device.
