How to change your username using the Instagram app

— Open the Instagram app on your phone and log in to your account.

— Now, tap the profile picture in the bottom right corner of the app’s screen.

— Go to the “Edit Profile” option in the menu.

— Under the “Username” field, tap on your current username.

— Now, enter the new username of your choice in the text box.

— Tap the checkmark on Android and Done on iPhone to save the new username for your account.

How to change your username using Instagram on the Web

— Go to Instagram’s website and log in to your account.

— Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.

— Now, click “Edit Profile” and then go to the “Username” in the left-hand menu.

— Enter your desired username in the text box.

— Now click the “Save Changes” button to save the new username.

Things to keep in mind

— Choose a username that is unique and not already taken.

— Your username can contain letters, numbers, periods, and underscores.

— Instagram allows a change in username once every 14 days.

— When you create a new username, your old username will become available for others to claim.
