WhatsApp bring several enhanced features on its platform to increase the user engagement and make things easy for them. In order to further enhance the experience, the platform has rolled out its latest Android beta version 2.25.31.5, revealing an important update that will change how you interact on the platform.

The new update is bringing feature that will restrict users to send messages to new chats, if the user hasn’t replied. The update is minor, but keeping spam calls and messages in mind, it is still an important one to streamline things on the platform.

WhatsApp Message Limit in New Chat

WhatsApp has rolled out a new beta version for Android users that includes early signs of features where users will be restricted to send messages to new chats if the person haven’t responded. The move I just like the earlier update where the app introduced a limit to broadcast messages, introduced in version 2.25.14.15.

How WhatsApp is Controlling Spam Messages

WhatsApp has been taking notes on spam as well as unsolicited messages that have been a concern for users on the platform. There are millions of messages sent on the platform on daily basis, and hence, users sometimes get annoyed by the spam and unsolicited conversations. To keep things in control, WhatsApp is planning to introduce the new update, wherein there will be a cap on the spam and unreplied chats. This will allow the app to be much more safer and less cluttered.

In addition, this will also encourage business users to focus more on engaging communication rathe than repetitive or unwanted texts.

Rollout Timeline

The feature is still in development and will be introduced in a future update. While it hasn’t been released to users yet, it is expected to go live after WhatsApp finishes internal testing and fine-tuning.
