Nothing’s latest flagship brings a bold redesign, upgraded internals, and a new way to interact with your phone. But with a Rs 79,999 price tag, here is how it differs from the Nothing Phone 2.
The Phone (3) ditches symmetry for a bold camera bump and a Glyph Matrix on the back. The new Glyph Matrix is a 25x25 LED grid that shows timers, animations, weather info, and mini-games like spin the bottle with the Glyph button. On the other hand, the Nothing Phone 2 carries Glyph LED light strips which are also customizable with ringtones, notifications, and music.
While both have 6.7-inch AMOLED screens, Phone (3)’s panel is significantly brighter — peaking at 4500 nits versus Phone (2)’s 1600 nits.
The Phone (2) used the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Phone (3) steps up to Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, but not the most powerful chip in the flagship series.
The Phone (3) gets serious about cameras with a triple 50MP rear setup — including a periscope lens for 3x optical zoom — and 4K 60fps video on all lenses, including the 50MP selfie camera. For content creators, that’s a big plus over the dual 50MP-camera system on Phone (2) and a 32MP selfie camera.
Nothing boosts the battery from 4700mAh (Phone 2) to 5500mAh (Phone 3), and charging speeds go from 45W to 65W wired. Both support 15W wireless and 5W reverse charging.
At Rs 79,999 for 12GB/256GB and Rs 89,999 for 16GB/512GB, the Phone 3 sets itself in premium range. It must be noted that the Nothing Phone 2 was launched at a starting price of Rs 44,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option.
If you own the Phone 2 and are happy with its clean experience, there’s no urgent need to upgrade. But if you want more play, more personality, and more camera power, then the Phone 3 might be a good option. However, at this price, you can also consider iPhone 16, Samsung Galaxy S25, OnePlus 13 at much affordable price.
