Every iPhone launch feels predictable, but this time expectations are higher. With bigger rumours around the lineup, the iPhone 18 Pro needs to do more than small upgrades.
It’s not just about megapixels anymore. A bigger sensor can improve low-light shots and depth, something competitors are already doing well.
Zoom has been a weak spot for iPhones. Better optical zoom combined with smarter processing can make everyday photography more useful.
Battery life is decent, but the technology hasn’t changed much. Newer battery types can offer more capacity without making the phone thicker. In this era when every other phone is getting over 7,000mAh battery, the iPhones are still stuck in the past.
Charging speeds still feel behind compared to Android phones. At this point, faster charging is more about convenience than just numbers.
AI features are there, but they don’t always feel useful. The focus should be on tools that actually help in daily usage, not just demos.
Brands like Samsung, Xiaomi and OnePlus are already pushing ahead in cameras, batteries, and AI. Apple can’t afford to lag behind here. At this point, users expect more than small refinements. The iPhone 18 Pro needs a few meaningful changes to actually feel worth upgrading to.
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are tipped to launch on usual timeline of September 2026. All we can do is wait for the official launch.
