Vodafone Idea is finally turning up the heat in the and have launched their 5G services in Delhi. After going live in Mumbai, Patna, and Chandigarh earlier this year, Vi has officially launched its high-speed 5G network in Delhi-NCR, bringing ultra-fast data to one of its most important markets. Vi 5G Now Live in Delhi-NCR

Vodafone Idea confirmed that 5G services are now rolling out across Delhi-NCR, covering all 17 priority circles. This follows the 5G trial the company ran last week. As expected, the network uses non-standalone (NSA) architecture, which means smoother switching between 4G and 5G, making the user experience feel seamless. They have teamed up with Ericsson to handle 5G infrastructure deployment in Delhi-NCR. Vi is using AI-powered self-organising network (SON) tech to optimise and stabilise its network which is crucial in densely packed urban areas. This entire rollout is part of Vi's Rs 55,000 crore capex plan over the next three years.

Plans and Introductory Offers

If you have a 5G-compatible device, Vi if offering an introductory deal where you can get unlimited 5G data starting at just Rs 299. The offer is aimed at boosting adoption and includes high-speed streaming, lag-free gaming, fast downloads, and real-time cloud access. Vi is now available in 4 major cities: Mumbai, Patna, Chandigarh and Delhi-NCR and will soon be heading to Bengaluru and Mysore.

Vi may have taken its time, but it's finally rolling out 5G services with decent speeds, aggressive pricing, and the promise of AI-backed network stability. If the services perform as well as Vi claims, we might just see a big comeback from the brand and this could even increase its market share.
