These days, phones with monster batteries are making a serious comeback. Recently, Honor revealed its new phone, the Honor Power, with a whopping 8,000mAh battery. Now, Realme has entered the scene and showcased its prototype device with a jaw-dropping 10,000mAh battery. That's the kind of capacity you'd usually expect from power banks, so seeing it in a smartphone almost feels impossible. If you're wondering whether it's like those hefty Doogee or OUKITEL rugged phones, that's not the case at all. Also Read: Samsung may be developing massive 12,000mAh and 18,000mAh phone batteries

What makes this concept even more is that despite packing that giant battery, the Realme GT concept phone is only 8.5mm thick and weighs around 200 grams. That's slimmer than some phones with half the battery size. Realme has confirmed that they might tease this tech with the launch of the GT7 Series in India. How is Realme able to achieve this?

Realme pulled this off by using a silicon-anode battery with 10% silicon content and an impressive energy density of 887Wh/L. But they didn't stop there. To make space for the massive battery, Realme completely redesigned the phone's internal layout using what it calls a "mini diamond architecture," which allowed it to develop the world's narrowest Android mainboard at just 23.4mm. This is a true engineering feat that has already earned over 60 patents. Also Read: This iPhone 17 Pro-Like Phone Packs A Massive Battery And Fast Charging

The concept phone also sports a rectangular dual-camera module and a semi-transparent back, giving it a sleek and futuristic vibe. The battery is not the only amazing feat they have achieved. They've paired the massive 10,000mAh cell with 320W fast charging. For context, Realme still holds the record for the fastest wired charging on a commercial phone, with the 240W Realme GT 3 launched in 2023.

Considering we're already seeing phones hit the 7,000-8,000mAh mark, this one doesn't feel all that far-fetched anymore.
