Minecraft, the popular open-world sandbox game, faced a massive outage on Thursday. The outage detecting platform, Downdetector, reported that over 2500 reports have been logged regarding Minecraft. Downdetector further revealed that 61 percent of users have faced issues with the server connection, 36 percent with login, while the rest 3 percent have faced issues with game play.
The outage peaked around 7:08 PM local time in the US. Not just the US, but the Indian users have also faced issues in accessing Minecraft. However, the reports are limited to around 150, as per the details by Downdetector.
Users Expressed Frustration On X
When Minecraft ran into server and login trouble, a lot of players opened up X to vent their frustration and honestly, it felt like the whole timeline turned into a comment box for error screams, disconnected realms, and all caps messages asking what went wrong.
A similar scene played out recently on the gaming side, too.
Fortnite Down Earlier
A few hours back, the Minecraft outage, Epic Games login services slowed to a crawl, affecting games like Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys. Players trying to sign in were hit with CAPTCHA and CAPTCHA-like errors that just refused to move forward. On Downdetector, reports quickly crossed 5,000, and social media reactions weren't far behind. The issue was spotted, cleaned up, and fixed in a few hours, bringing everything back online and letting players return to their usual battles, goals, and minigame chaos.
