As we are about to bid adieu to 2025, Google has revealed the top searches of this year for all the countries across the globe, including India. 2025 has been busy for trends - music, sports, AI, festivals, and even very specific questions that quickly spread across group chats and timelines.
This year, Google also introduced something new called the A to Z of trending searches, where each letter stands for one query India talked about the most. So, what did the country search in 2025? Let's have a look.
India's Top Trending Searches (Overall)
Not surprisingly, sports once again ruled the chart. As per Google's 2025 recap, the most searched term in India was the Indian Premier League. Right after that, searches around AI surged with Google Gemini ranking second in the overall top 10 list. The rest of the list blended international sporting curiosity, cultural icons, festival fervour, and sci-fi cinema conversations.

Many of these searches focused not just on AI, but on what people wanted AI to create - 3D-style photos, retro saree edits, lip-synced Reels audio, and more.
