Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 could amplify gaming experience in mid-range smartphones

The latest mid-tier processor from Snapdragon offers support for 200MP primary rear sensor as well.

Qualcomm has launched a new midrange chipset, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, without much fanfare. The latest chipset from Snapdragon performs better than its predecessors and also comes with on-device AI support. In the Indian market, we will get to see smartphones shipping with the mentioned processor somewhere in the price range of Rs 18,000 to Rs 29,000. The processor includes four Cortex-A78 cores with a 2.4GHz speed. In addition, it also has four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. And the best part is that the chipset is fabricated on the 4nm manufacturing process. What else is there in Snapdragon 6 Gen 3?

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 features Snapdragon Hexagon-powered on-device AI. Apart from that, it also offers 5G connectivity backed by a Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System with a max speed of 2.9Gbps. The chipset has Quick Charge 4+ technology so we can expect that the phones shipping with this one will have fast charging support. And that's not it, Qualcomm has also offered up to 200MP primary rear sensor setup powered by Qualcomm Spectra ISP. Furthermore, the processor also includes Snapdragon Elite Gaming and Snapdragon Technology Suite to offer an exemplary gaming experience. It will also support an FHD+ display at a 120Hz refresh rate.

Who better than Snapdragon will understand that the smartphone gaming market is ever-evolving and the users are looking for processors that will allow them to run heavy games on mid-range smartphones. With the type of features Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is going to ship with, we can say that now gaming and multi-tasking will become seamless on smartphones under 25,000 as well.
