OPPO is reportedly preparing to refresh its K-series lineup, with the K15 Turbo and K15 Turbo Pro said to be in the works for China. The brand entered the gaming-focused smartphone space earlier this year with the K13 Turbo series, which later launched in India as well. A new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station now suggests OPPO is readying the next models with upgraded hardware and larger batteries.
OPPO K15 Turbo Series Specs (Leaked)
The leak claims OPPO is currently testing the new K-series phones with Snapdragon 8-series chips. Unlike the K13 Turbo lineup, which featured the same display size on both models, the upcoming phones may arrive in different screen sizes.
The K15 Turbo is said to come with a 6.59-inch display and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The K15 Turbo Pro, on the other hand, is expected to feature a bigger 6.78-inch LTPS screen with 1.5K resolution. The Pro model is said to be powered by Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.
The leak also suggests OPPO is aiming at two user segments one that prefers a slightly compact performance device, and another that wants a larger screen and battery for gaming and longer use. Exact battery capacities, camera details, and design information are still under wraps, as is the expected launch timeline.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5: Expected Performance
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is expected to be built on TSMC's N3P process and may use Oryon CPU architecture. Reports hint at a multi-core setup clocked up to 3.8GHz, paired with an upgraded Adreno GPU. Early benchmarks reportedly show around 3.3 million points on AnTuTu and up to 10,000 in Geekbench multi-core tests, putting it in the top tier of upcoming flagship chips.
The chip is also expected to debut first in the OnePlus Ace 6 Pro Max, followed by devices such as the Vivo S50 Pro Mini and Honor GT 2, before making its way to OPPO's K-series.
