It looks like Nothing is gearing up to expand its smartphone lineup once again. The company launched its flagship Nothing Phone (3) not too long ago, and now signs suggest that new mid-range devices could be in development.
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro Spotted
A new handset from the brand has been spotted on the IMEI database with the model number A069P. While the listing does not reveal the official name, this device is believed to be the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. The entry didn't share any key specifications or design details, but it does confirm that the company is preparing successors to the Phone (3a) series. This means we could also see a standard Nothing Phone (4a) launch alongside the Pro model.
Following the Nothing Phone (3a) Series
To put things into perspective, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro carried the model numbers A059 and A059P, respectively. Given this pattern, the newly spotted device is most likely the Pro variant of the upcoming 4a series.
Nothing has built its identity around a transparent design language, and it's expected that the company will stick with this trademark look. Just like its predecessors, the new models may use a plastic back instead of a metal one, keeping costs competitive in the mid-range market. The signature Glyph LED interface could also return, although this hasn't been confirmed yet.
Nothing Phone (4a) Series: What to Expect
While we don't have confirmed details yet, the Nothing Phone (4a) series is expected to bring practical upgrades like a bigger battery, faster charging, and a more efficient processor. The display and cameras on the 3a models already held up well in the mid-range segment, so this time, Nothing might focus on fine-tuning rather than reinventing.
For now, the IMEI listing is the biggest hint we have, but it's clear that work has begun on the new lineup. More concrete details should start surfacing as the launch draws closer.
